"Those who have a 'why' to live can bear with almost any how."
~ Viktor Frankl

Let’s be honest: life is a lot.

It can be beautiful. It can be brutal. And a whole lot of the time, it's both.

Therapy offers something rare: space. Space to feel understood, supported, challenged, and heard. Space to name what’s hurting and figure out what matters most — and what gets in the way. For some, therapy is about healing. For others, it’s about building skills. For many, it’s about reconnecting with a sense of purpose — that "why" that makes the hard days survivable and the good days more meaningful.

How I work

I approach therapy with curiosity, honesty, and a deep respect for the messiness of being human. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT-E (a version specific to eating disorders), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT, at its core, is about building a meaningful life while learning how to carry the pain that naturally comes with it.

I’m not a blank-slate kind of therapist. Once we’ve built some trust, I’ll be real with you — direct when it’s helpful, honest when it matters, and occasionally sarcastic when it breaks tension or holds up a mirror. I might raise an eyebrow and ask, “You heard what you just said, right?” Or I’ll call out the moment you talk yourself into a spiral and act surprised that it didn’t end well. The point isn’t to shame — it’s to shift. And sometimes the shift starts with a smirk and a some humor.

It’s a big step — and it’s okay to take it slowly

Finding the right therapist matters. It’s okay to be unsure or guarded — this process is vulnerable, and your story deserves a space that feels safe and authentic.

If you think I might be a good fit, feel free to reach out. I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation so we can talk through what you’re looking for and how I might be able to help.
